June 01, 2009: Metrotech BID Signs Up For SGI\'s SNAPSHOT Service

The MetroTech BID, based at MetroTech Center, was founded in 1992 to further the revitalization of Downtown Brooklyn. It provides public safety, sanitation, economic development, marketing and promotional services throughout a 25-block district made up of diverse businesses, universities and government agencies. The MetroTech BID boasts many innovative programs that support local businesses, including the Facade Improvement Program, which offers design consultant services to retail merchants and property owners to improve the condition and aesthetics of building exteriors, and the ValueCard, which offers retail discounts to area employees, university students, and jurors serving in the district.

The mission of the Business Improvement Districts is to act to create a vibrant business climate for merchants and service business and property owners within their respective districts.

Working with districts and the City of New York, SNAPSHOT will increase the communication and record keeping needed for the 25-block area.

SNAPSHOT is a collaborative workspace for Improvement Districts and their service contractors. Customers log in and see work orders, incident reports, recurring task, shared documents, on demand reports, emergency messaging and many more applications
